ABOUT

Russia. Siberia. Endless taiga. 500 km to the nearest settlement. There, 25 years ago, a religious community known as The Last Testament was created. Ten thousand of its followers believe that their Teacher is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. 
A father, one of the followers, is moving his 11 year old son from Moscow to the community in Siberia, seeking paradise. The mother and the younger son stay behind in Moscow.

DIRECTOR

MARIYA SEMENOVA

Born in Moscow. The student of the directing department of the Russian University of Cinematography (VGIK). She was a Student jury Chairman of the International Film Festival Message to Man. Shooting her first short documentaries, she spent a month in a nursing home, a month and a half in a religious community in the taiga of Siberia, and two months in a crematorium.
